 The accessories designer of the year Rupert Sanderson, known primarily for his stylish collections of footwear, already for  several seasons, in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld creates  collections of shoes for the catwalk.The coming spring season was no exception: Sanderson dressed models of Lagerfeld  in stylish spring shoes, newly interpreting the two most popular models of his shoes – Asteroid and Finesse, giving them a kind of futuristic charm.

Originaly the model of Asteroid were a simple platform sandals with a 11-inch heels, and in a new spring-summer 2010  collection of Karl Lagerfeld became unusually elegant shoes made of patent leather of black and silver colors with unusual necklines. For this part of BestStopOops I represent Louis Vuitton with his new collection of Cancan shoes which have  avant garde look with only one sole heel and it ties up around the ankle. To name the models of the spring-summer collection 2010 of British designer Alexander McQueen, presented in the framework of Fashion Week in Paris, prêt-a-porter is hardly possible, however, it is definitely  worth seeing (by the way, this show  became one of the most expensive in the fashion week).

The basis of the collection, which was titled “Plato’s Atlantis”, was the idea of a post-apocalyptic future of the mankind in which people evolve in the mythical underwater monsters and will come back to live in the water.
“The underwater fashion” of the future was expressed by the designer in whimsical silhouettes, incredible colors of shades of blue, green, yellow and blue with kaleidoscopic prints, as well as finishing imitating the scales and prints under the skin of reptiles.

Designer from Paris Mai Lamore effectively mixes art with shoes designing.

All of her creations today are famous worldwide for their artistic feature, which turns the shoe into statement, a wish and a cryptic accessory that overpasses its own boundaries. Being interviewed for the Vogue UK publication Parisian shoe designer states the concept that stands behind each of her shoes: “A shoe is something that more than any other item of your wardrobe or clothing exists before even being worn. Most items of clothing in your wardrobe may fold up or remain lifeless if you do not wear them. Shoes as an “object” are mystical quality creations like sculpture that has its own life. Highly elegant shoes should always look as wonderful on the foot as it would in a vitrine”.
